We are one of 69 Community Councils operating across the Scottish Borders area under the umbrella of the Scottish Borders Community Council Network, responsible for reporting to Scottish Borders Council (SBC).
Our purpose is to express the views of the Ettrick and Yarrow Valley communities to the SBC or to other responsible public authorities, on matters raised with us for which those authorities are
responsible.
Our Community Council (CC) is comprised of up to 15 elected members along with 3 Scottish Borders Councillors who are ex-officio members.
